Velvet are lightweight backcountry skis that are also at home on the groomers and in the park. Hybrid construction enables effortless rides in any terrain. While rocker supports better float in powder, camber increases responsiveness, makes landings smoother and edge grip more secure.

A combination of Triax and Biax fiberglass and tip to tail light weight engineered wood core gives you great flex and control.

Velvet are perfect for floating in deep powder and riding fast lines on the wildest of slopes.

Equipped with durable, long lasting sturdy corrund top sheet construction.

X-TEN STAFF COMMENTS

What can we say about the Rogue and the Velvet. Our Team favourite for on and off piste. At home in the park and back country put a downhill, touring or tech binding on these planks and the world is your oyster. So well balanced, almost symerical so the balance is awesome. The thins that surprised us is how well these carved on groomers. We love to grab this weapon and head to the clubbies or resorts, here in NZ and overseas. No matter what we are riding that day we are ready. And crud? What crud? We haven't found anything in NZ that will stop these skis.

SKIS4TREES

At X-TEN we partner with brands that are not only taking but putting back. We strongly believe it is absolutely crucial to match trees with the environment they are to grow in. All the trees are planted in designated nature reserve areas, in line with existing forestry regulations. These regulations determine what kind of trees we can plant and where. To make Majesty skis only two kinds of wood are used – poplar and ash. To produce a pair of Majesty skis, usually 0.09 m3 of carefully selected wood of high quality is needed. This means a lot of pairs of skis can be produced from only one tree. We wanted our action to be clear and easy to understand. That is why with every Majesty Ski sold a ree is planted. As a ski-manufacturing company, Majesty cannot emphasize enough that Majesty skis’ cores are made tip to tail of wood. To achieve that perfect flex and extreme durability of our skis, we use ash and poplar FSC certified wood cores of best quality.
